    应实验室光电子器件与集成研究部的邀请,新加坡南洋理工大学电机与电子工程学院光子学实验室负责人袁小聪博士将于12月18日访问光电国家实验室并作“基于光学旋涡光束的若干微光学应用”的学术报告。光学旋涡（optical vortices）光束为光学操纵、光学信息安全、超衍射极限和数字波面干涉等研究领域提供了一些新方法和新手段。本报告将重点介绍新型光学旋涡产生机理、设计和微制作方法，以及在微光学领域中的应用研究。
    此外，袁博士还将对新加坡南洋理工大学电机与电子工程学院总的科研情况及博士研究生招生情况进行介绍，涉及光学/光子学、电子，微电子计算机系统和网络、强电，电机以及自控等领域。报告具体安排如下：

报告人简历：
Yuan Xiaocong received his BEng and MEng degrees in optical engineering from Tianjin University, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and his PhD in physics from the University of London, King’s College, in 1994. Between 1994 and 1999, he was a research fellow with the Cavendish Laboratory, the University of Cambridge. He became a faculty member in the school of EEE of Nanyang Technological University in 1999. His current work deals with micro-optics including lithography, optical manipulation, biomedical sensing and imaging at micro- and nano-scale. He has published more than 100 papers in reputable journals in optics and photonics. He is a fellow of SPIE
