报告摘要

有机电致发光二极管(OLED)经过三十年的发展已成为实用的显示技术。OLED显示屏,特别是有源矩阵OLED显示屏由于具有出色的图像质量、低功耗、重量轻、柔性显示等优点,被广泛应用于移动电子设备,例如手机,其中柔性显示被开发并应用于下一代显示技术。在本讲座中,作者综述了OLED技术的发展现状,并着重讲述了OLED材料及器件结构发展中的一些里程碑式的进展,正是这些突破才实现了100%的内量子效率和寿命超过10,000小时的高亮度有机电致发光二极管器件。


Abstract:

Almost three decades after its discovery, organic light emitting diode (OLED) has proven to be a practical display technology. With several key features - superior image quality, low power consumption, light weight, and flexible form factor - OLED displays, particularly active-matrix OLED displays, have found wide-spread applications in mobile electronic devices such as cellular phones, and are being actively developed for next-generation display applications such as flexible displays. In this talk I will review the current status of OLED technology and highlight several key development milestones in materials and device layer architectures that have led to the production of high-brightness OLEDs with an internal quantum efficiency of almost 100% and a useful lifetime much greater than 10,000 hours.
