Special Issues on Nanotheranostics
Nanotheranostics is an emerging multidisciplinary term which combines therapy and diagnostics based on nanotechnology. The core of this concept is based on developing multimodality nanoplatform to improve imaging and therapy by targeted delivery across biological barriers in vivo. Nanotheranostics is beneficial to optimize treatment planning, screen appropriate drugs, predict treatment efficacy, and decrease side-effect. It acts as a key part of predictive medicine and personalized medicine, includes a wide range of subjects, such as molecular imaging, biomarker identification and validation, drug delivery and release, and imaging-guided treatment. In recently years, nanotheranostics has been widely acknowledged by many scientists and clinical doctors, and displayed great clinical application potential. The opportunities and challenges of nanotheranostics to overcome serious diseases are attracting more and more researchers to focus on this topic. The Journal of Innovative Optics in Health and Science (JIOHS) calls for manuscripts for the special issue: Nanotheranostics. Welcome in this special issue are regular research articles, regular or mini reviews, case reports, technical reports, and commentaries. Manuscripts will be internationally peer-reviewed. Submissions are encouraged dealing with the following and related topics:
Nanotechnology for molecular imaging
Nanotechnology for targeted therapy
Multimodality nanoplatform
Nanodrug delivery and release
Nanoparticle-based immunotherapy
Identification and validation of biomarkers
Image-guided treatment
Quantificaiton of nanomedicine
Submission deadline: November 15, 2015
Planned publication date: March 2016
Submission format: Authors should use the Latex or MS-Word style files. For more details, please visithttp://www.worldscientific.com/worldscinet/jiohs
JIOHS is now indexed by SCI. JIOHS becomes open-access this year and the publication fee is free for 2015 and 2016.
